The flavored black teas offered, unless otherwise noted in each individual description, start with a base of Ceylon teas. Comparing these high grown teas taken from the top three growing regions of Sri Lanka - Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula and Uva with other tea regions from around the world, it has been found the Ceylon teas' characteristics (floral bouquet and flavor notes with a touch of mild astringency) offer a superb base for these naturally flavored teas. Flavoring oils, not crystals or other artificial flavorings, are used to give the tea drinker the opportunity to fully enjoy the taste of the high grown tea. Crystals or artificial flavorings only mask what may be a lower quality tea and may take away from the "art" of the tea drinking experience.
