It is rumored that around 400 AD, the first chocolate "addiction" was noted.  The Mayan civilization of Central and South America was the first group to process chocolate and the finished product was called xocoatl.  From there, all sorts of wonderful things happened with chocolate, including the "discovery" of mousse.  Generally, this discovery is credited to the French painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and his addiction to the sweet confection and love of fresh cream (now come on, we've all had days like this).  Anyway, after spending some time with chocolate, sugar and fresh cream, Henri and his artistic nature, managed to produce chocolate mouse.  Several months later, his good friend, Aristide Bruant suggested to Henri he utilize his artistic nature and and "create" white chocolate mousse.

There is so much more to the history of chocolate, but we need to stop here and note this particular tea was created for Tallarico's Chocolates located in South Bethlehem, PA.  Brian Tallarico is famous for his "Chocolate Meltaways" (the center of this confection is more solid than a truffle) and the different flavors, including his "Cayenne Pepper Meltaway".  Starting with a blend of black teas from three different growing regions in Sri Lanka, natural white chocolate mousse flavoring was added with calendula and sunflower petals and white chocolate pieces creating this tea to compliment and give honor to the famous Meltaways.
