China - Fujian Province - The smooth and delicate flavor is wonderful, nutty, and sweet with a luscious round character on the palate. Two leaves and a bud from early season growth (late March/early April) are hand-rolled before drying. Leaves to create this tea are used only from the first three weeks of the season. Seven pearls in a cup may be used three times consecutively. If you enjoy the other display (artisan) teas and use them as centerpieces, try a dozen of the small pearls into a glass to enjoy observing how the leaves dance while "blooming".
