From the Fujian Province of China, Pai Mu Tan leaves are plucked from the specific variety of tea bushes referred to as "Narcissus" or chaicha bushes.  These leaves are not steamed or pan-fried, but instead naturally withered or dried in the sun and are a very light green giving the cup a pale appearance.
